Tricia has always found joy in listening to peoples’ life stories. Her professional experience includes over ten years of working in higher education with students in service and faith related programming. What she loved most throughout these experiences were the conversations with students about their lives: discerning “next steps”, overcoming obstacles, balancing the demands of life.
These conversations caused Tricia to develop an interest in recognizing the internal and external tools people use to navigate through life. In particular, she learned about the various ways people gain wisdom from life lessons, choose meaningful life paths, overcome challenges, and choose opportunities for growth.
With this knowledge, Tricia started Center Point Life Coaching LLC to continue her work and interest in helping others navigate the questions, transitions, and challenges that come with life. Check out Tricia's coaching philosophy for more details on the mission of Center Point Life Coaching.
In her personal life, Tricia is married and a mom to two school age children. She understands the challenges and blessings of balancing work, family, community, and friends. Tricia recognizes that in the chaos of life, we sometimes need help to grow, make change, overcome obstacles, or have a more balanced life. Most especially, she knows that we often we can lose sight of our center point, our true self, in the everyday occurrences of our lives.
A native of PA, Tricia spent 10 years in the Boston area and now resides in southeastern PA with her family. She holds a BSED in Mathematics from West Chester University, a M.A. in Pastoral Ministry from Boston College and is a Certified Life Coach through the Life Purpose Institute.
Clients of CPLC are adults in the first half of life (20s, 30s, 40s, 50s) who are seeking assistance with the questions, demands, transitions and challenges that come with this phase of life. Clients also have an interest in incorporating self-discovery into their sessions either informally in the context of a regular session, or formally through targeted self-discovery sessions.
Tricia particularly enjoys working with clients whose personal values include a commitment to service, issues of justice, social action, faith and/or spirituality.
As the world is unfolding and changing, we often wonder how we can make a difference, share our gifts with the world, work for change, or help others in need. Tricia welcomes anyone who feels motivated to action. She enjoys exploring with clients how to best share their talents in service to others, their community, and the world.
I had been thinking about my career transition for some time, but it was working with Tricia that helped me not only understand my own skill set, but also to be able to verbalize it to others. Additionally, Tricia took the time to really understand the scope of my work. In particular, our sessions were effective, in part because Tricia inherently recognized and understood the social justice work that has formed the backbone of my career.
Tricia helped me set manageable goals, which appealed to me, and has left me with a good plan moving forward. Our time together has empowered me in this process of discernment and I feel much better equipped to make this transition. - Joanna
